Barbie Girl marks the second major collaboration of Clark and Melon, this time as a pseudo-music video for a sound experiment by MelonSprout at the beginning of their dive into sound and music making. Referencing both the idea of Barbie the character/franchise and the camp masterpiece Barbie Girl by Aqua, Clark and Melon explore digital identity and digital queerness, and what it means to be a “barbie girl*”.
